The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: Joe Paterno became head coach when I was a Junior. After 4 years of physics and playing basketball at the gym, I married my high school sweetheart and went to Purdue for graduate work. We always wanted to live in Florida, so I got a microelectronics job at Harris Corporation on the east coast near the Cape. Raised two children, one still nearby and the other now in LA. After 25 years in big corporations, I missed the college life, so became a professor and associate dean at our local university, Florida Tech. After several years there, it occurred to me that I had never worked at a little company, so I took a job at Quantum Technology Sciences, Inc (QTSI), in Cocoa Beach. Great company and great job, doing security and spook work using geophysics and state of the art sensor systems. Dottie, my trophy wife of 43 years, retired a few years ago from a lifetime of teaching, but I may never retire. Too much fun. Penn State prepared me well. |
